The Malga Laste di Manazzo alpine pasture extends from Bosco del Dosso (1650 m), a majestic grouping of spruce trees and the perfect habitat for the wood grouse, to Pontarina (1887 m) overlooking Val di Sella.
\nThe southern part is mainly pasture, while the northern section is covered by a wood of spruce, larch, and dwarf pine trees.
\nIn some of the small valleys in the pastures, yellow gentian (Gentiana lutea) grows, not to be confused with veratrum (Veratrum album), whose rhizome is mortally poisonous if swallowed.
