The malga is situated just south of Porta Manazzo, a pass located between Cima Manderiolo to the west and Cima Larici to the east, from which a spectacular view of the Eastern Alps can be enjoyed. The malga\u2019s pasture is made up primarily of rich expanses which, in the more sloped and acidified areas, leave space for nardeto as well. The area used for alpine grazing is entirely fenced in with the exception of the upper crest, overlooking the Val di Sella in the Trento Province which already constitutes an impassable natural border.
\nConsidering its naturalistic value, in the western area of the pastures, mushroom gathering is prohibited. The Sentiero della Pace (Trail of Peace) of the Plateau passes precisely here: it was created in memory of the tragic events of the First World War. A forestry-pastoral road, closed to vehicle traffic, starts from the malga and leads to Malga Campo Manderiolo, at the border between Veneto and Trentino. The route, interesting from a landscape and environmental point of view, is suitable for families, even in the winter with snowshoes.
