Malga Zebio Pastorile is situated a bit farther north from Malga Zebio, within a patchwork of pastures and thick forests of spruce, larch, and dwarf pines. The morphology of the scarce pastures scattered with protruding rocks and the absence of a large cowshed with an area dedicated to milking, make this malga a structure suitable for non-lactating dairy cattle.
\nThese areas were recounted by Emilio Lussu in \u201cA year on the High Plateau\u201d, and they were the theatre of battles in World War I. Traces can still be seen of encampments, trails, and trenches. There is also a monument near the malga in remembrance of two \u201crecuperanti\u201d (people who collected war metal remains in order to sell them) who lost their lives here.
