Malga Longara Davanti boasts a unique panoramic view of the central Plateau basin. From the mountain from which it takes its name, the malga territory extends up to Val Salina, Val Croce Longara, and Monte Kaprust. The pastures are easy to cross as they are enormous green spaces in the central area, with groups of conifers in the area around Val Croce. The CAI 850 trail passes by the malga. From Gallio it goes up to Malga Fiara, and arrives at the nearby altar dedicated to Pope John Paul II (who in 1988 made a visit to the Plateau to bless Gallio and Asiago). A brief detour also takes you to the Monte Cimon Observatory (Osservatorio di Monte Cimon). In the winter, parts of its pastures are included in the \u201cLeMelette\u201d ski area, while the Campomulo Cross-Country Skiing Center tracks are also close by.
