Malga Fiara is located in a wooded area where the wide pastures that characterize many other malgas on the Plateau are replaced by small clearings of larch or spruce woods, where there are also many protruding rocks, dangerous sinkholes, and in some cases also actual caverns. The herd of sheep that graze here also graze at the adjacent incorporated Malga Bosco Secco. Considering its history, it is not uncommon to find the remains of trenches and wartime objects in the pastures of the malga.
\nIn the winter, the area is also used by snow-shoers, while the road that goes to Moline loc. and Monte Ortigara is used as a cross-country skiing track.
