The malga area is constantly threatened by the advancement of the spruce and larch trees that surround it and is also characterized by numerous shrubs (rhododendron, dwarf juniper, and dwarf pine).<br \/>\nThe rocky subsoil, composed of limestone and dolostone, is full of cracks and hidden dangers for grazing animals, and is only partially covered by grass suitable for grazing.<br \/>\nNot far from the malga is a fork with the same name. Going down you reach Piana di Marcesina, passing through the Malga Buson area. If you continue towards Malga Fossetta and Piazzale Lozze, you finally reach Monte Ortigara.
