Located between Malga Marcesina – II Lotto to the south and Marcesina – IV Lotto to the north, this malga stretches out to the edge of the Frattine wood all the way to the Forcellona wood. On its pastures there are heaps of rocks, similar to low walls, collected by man over the past for the purpose of stone removal to increase its foraging surface. From the nearby Malga Marcesina – II Lotto, the old dirt road starts which connects the various malgas of the Piana, particularly scenic and perfect for a stroll. Despite the damage caused in 2018 by the strong winds of the Vaia Storm, vast spruce woods characterize the Nordic type landscape of the Piana di Marcesina. Looking northward from the malga area, there is a gorgeous view of the Trentino peaks.
