The area of this malga, one of the vastest on the Plateau, includes the portion of the Piana di Marcesina that stretches from the Laghetti to the west all the way to the Conca in the east, bordering the territory of Grigno (TN) along the entire northern edge. In the vicinity of the malga, numbered memorial stones are still visible with the image of the lion of San Marco, positioned by the Venetian Republic in 1752 on the current Trentino border. Not far from the malga, there is the Chiesetta (church) di San Lorenzo (rebuilt after the destruction suffered during the First World War).
\nIn the area, renowned for mushroom gathering and the cross-country skiing tracks, the Torbiera (peat bog) di San Lorenzo is located, fenced off and forbidden to livestock grazing. It is a particular biotype, not to be found anywhere in the province and a rare one in the entire Prealps, formed over the course of the millennia due to the soil that had become impermeable and in the presence of water springs, in which unique floral species live.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
