Malga Melaghetto is situated in the hollow of the same name at 1200 m altitude located at the beginning of the Val di Melago, nestled between Monte Valbella to the west and Col del Rosso to the east. Its pastures stretch out on soft and easily accessible rolling hills surrounded by woods of spruce and beech trees.
\nIn this area, as in many other areas of the Plateau, the terrain is still visibly marked by the numerous craters left by bombs exploded during the First World War.
\nFollowing a short trail from the malga, you can reach the peak of the very scenic Col del Rosso, which is one of the three peaks of the famous \u201cBattaglia dei Tre Monti\u201d (Battle of the Three Mountains), fought between 25 December 1917 and 31 January 1918 between Valbella, Col del Rosso and Col d\u2019Ecchele.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
