Surrounded by rich spruce and beech woods which take on flamboyant colours in autumn, this malga presents some well-preserved and fine buildings, constructed with exposed stone facades.<br \/>\nFrom this malga, very well connected to all of the other malgas in the area by very accessible roads, it is easy to reach the Bar Alpino mountain refuge and the Buse di Carriola area in the north-west, the Bocchetta Pa\u00f9 lookout to the west, the Monte Corno area to the east and move uphill towards Cima Fonte to the north.<br \/>\nUp to the beginning of autumn this area is popular for outings on foot and by bike, and mushrooming, while in the winter it is a great destination for snowshoe walking enthusiasts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Malga Fondi is positioned on a vast karstic hollow facing south-east, between Monte Foraoro and Cima Fonte.
