Start off from Rifugio Campolongo and take the trail westward out of the parking lot. At the next fork, continue on the left and then follow the main trail until you reach first Malga Trugole and then Malga Posellaro. At the next fork, turn right towards Malga Mandrielle, that you have to pass always keeping on your right. At the end of the next fork, turn right to get back to Rifugio Campolongo.

Itinerary that runs through the western sector of the Plateau through pastures, malgas, and forests of the Rotzo Municipality. After the departure from Rifugio Campolongo, the route descends towards the Trugole and Posellaro malgas to then go up to Malga Mandrielle Vecchio Patrimonio, from which point, it remains substantially at high altitude until the return.
The area is dominated by Forte Campolongo and Forte Verena, Ecomuseo della Grande Guerra Prealpi Vicentine sites, which have been recovered and can be toured that provide 360° scenic views. In particular, it is possible to go up to Forte Campolongo leaving from the mountain refuge of the same name, following a trail that also lets you visit the nearby Caverna del Sieson (cavern).

This itinerary is easily accessible by following an approaching path from the center of the Seven Municipalities of the Altopiano or from particularly convenient points due to their geographical position or services offered.
