Starting point at the Valbella ski ramps parking lot. Continue towards Malga Stenfle. Pass by the malga until you arrive at Cippo Niccolai. Just beyond the memorial stone, turn right and keep right to the next fork, following the directions for CAI trail 805 that allows you to reach Panzalarga ridge. From here, it is possible to follow the ridge to and from Cima Ekar, before you go downhill again towards Contrada Bertigo and return to the starting point.

The itinerary is in the eastern part of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities, not far from the main inhabited centers of the central basin. The route passes through the locations affected by the “Battaglia dei Tre Monti” (Battle of the Three Mountains), probably the greatest field artillery battle of the First World War. Near Malga Campocostalunga, visitors can stop near the giant yellow bench and enjoy a wonderful scenic view over the entire central basin of the Plateau.
At Cima Ekar there is an observational station of the Padua Astronomical Observatory, one of the most important on a national level along with the one in the Pennar locality. For information on guided tours and educational activities: Stazione Osservativa di Cima Ekar
Near Cima Ekar, the Patrizio Rigoni Naturalistic Trail looping itinerary is located, along which more than twenty works of art are located including sculptures, paintings, and etchings. Easy to travel, it explores many of the environments that characterize the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities: the alpine pond, the pasture, the malga, and the beech grove (total length: 3.7 km).

This itinerary is easily accessible by following an approaching path from the center of the Seven Municipalities of the Altopiano or from particularly convenient points due to their geographical position or services offered.
